The gateway to the Puez-Odle/Puez-Geisler Nature Park

You want to be right in the heart of the Dolomites’ natural beauty. That’s wonderful, because the grassy slope on our property merges directly into the dense woods that border the Puez-Odle/Puez-Geisler Nature Park. Just a few steps through the garden gate are enough to start hiking along the shady woodland paths.
As soon as snow covers the valley, you can follow the call of the slopes on the Dolomites – ski holidays at their best.
In fact, the Piccolino valley station is just under a 15-minute drive away. It serves as gateway to the Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz ski paradise or as a stop for the shuttle bus to the Alta Badia ski resort. Or you could explore the mountains on a ski tour in the nature park, as here there’s a tour to suit everyone, whether you’re looking for something easy or challenging.

Alpine circuits starting right on your doorstep

From the chalet, gentle paths lead uphill into the mountains. How about a tour across the vast plateaus of Munt da Rina/Welschellener Alm to the crystal-clear Laghi di Rina/Glittner Seen lakes, or to Mt Muro/Maurerberg – a route that can be tackled just as easily by mountain bike as on foot.
In Antermoia, five minutes’ drive away, the pass road to the Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch pass begins. There, Mt Sasso Putia/Peitlerkofel provides the backdrop for one of the most striking circular walks in the Dolomites, including the option of taking the exposed summit path. Further south, the path leads into the protected mountaineering village of Campill with its centuries-old mills. We’d be happy to discuss in person, once you’re here at Chalet Löm, which route will best showcase the Dolomites – for a walking holiday you’ll never forget. Our tip: visit the idyllic Munt d’Adagn and the Ütia Ciampcios in Campill.

Winter sports in the Alta Badia and Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz ski resorts

Thanks to the short 15-minute journey to the Piccolino valley station, there are two exceptional skiing experiences waiting for you nearby. A single ski pass gives you access to the entire Dolomiti Superski network, with 1,200 kilometres of slopes. Via Piccolino, you can directly access the Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz ski area or head for the Alta Badia ski area, from where the gates to the legendary Sellaronda are wide open.
Away from the slopes, nature is more tranquil: in the surrounding Dolomites, you’ll find numerous routes for long ski tours. At the top of the Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch pass, groomed cross-country ski trails wind their way through the countryside, or you can whizz through the winter landscape on a natural toboggan run. The slope in nearby Antermoia is ideal for a relaxed first few runs with children.

A summer in the mountains beckons you to the Dolomites

Variety is such a marvellous thing. In summer, cable cars take you up to Piz La Ila, Pralongià, or Piz Sorega. Up there, sweeping panoramic trails open out against the backdrop of the Sella massif and Mt Marmolada/Marmolata. Cyclists use the trails at Movimënt Park for challenging rides over the mountain passes.
Road cycling enthusiasts choose the route over the Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch pass: at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, the mountain pass road winds its way down into the Val di Funes/Villnöss valley along a challenging, winding route – a real test of your fitness. Have you ever experienced that feeling of reaching the summit in the Dolomites? You’ll see: it’s irresistible, and there’s only one thing you want: more of it.
